[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][text_output]I have worked for Statêra since 2001 and have enjoyed planning and putting together volunteer events throughout the years. Statêra has volunteered at Habitat for Humanity, The Denver Rescue Mission, Warren Village, Urban Peak, Food Bank of the Rockies, and several other deserving organizations.
These volunteer events give Statêra’s employees a chance to give back to our community. They also encourage team-building, team spirit, and the connect co-workers to the community and each other. Volunteering enables us to get out of our work environment and give to our community and help out those in need. It also promotes “happy, healthy employees,” as you can see in the study, “Doing Good is Good for You: 2013 Health and Volunteering Study.”
Statêra is a Latin word which means “balance,” and this enables our employers to learn what their employees are passionate about outside the office. I try my very best to plan a volunteer time every month for Statêra employees who are passionate about it.
My most memorable volunteering experience with Statêra and my co-workers was the second time we volunteered at the Denver Rescue Mission serving meals. It was a snowy, cold night. There seemed to be 450+ people that lined up inside and out to get their warm meal. There were 6 of us volunteering that evening. “TEAMWORK” was how we made it work. We all worked together, communicated and it ran smoothly. We were all amazed how many people we were able to help out. We talked to the gentleman in charge and he said that during the holidays they get 1000+ people/day. It really opened up our eyes and since that day we have had several employees volunteer multiple times with the Denver Rescue Mission.
I am very lucky that I work with a great group of people that also enjoy taking the time out of their busy schedules to reach out to our community and grateful to work for a great company like Statêra that supports our volunteer work!
